It's so funny that sometimes as an artist i see an artwork and i go "I absolutely fucking hate this thing" even if everyone absolutely loves it
which in turn means that the artist sucseeded
because art is about expression and reaction
so me feeling nothing but rage for a piece of art is like a good thing
If people hate your artwork - you made it as an artist (congrats) - you got a reaction out of them. And my message to you - make them hate if even more. like i don't want to only make them dislike your work, make them loathe it
If someone says some detail sucks? Embrace it, make a whole series featuring it, rub it like salt on a wound - make it painful to look at. and fall in love with doing that

Sure have!#I forgot how long it takes for Chimera Falin to come into play.#I still really love my 'better drawn' art of her - unfortunately it was several weeks too early for the anime only folks.#Slowly getting the hang of drawing Laios. I don't know why I struggle so much but I am getting...somewhere.#Meta time: God damn I love how the chimera shows off the expertise and gap between Kabru and Laios.#The truth is: they are both *right* and they are both *wrong*.#This creature is a combination of monster and human and they only have the skillset to deal with one of those.#Kabru goes for all the human vitals - but she isn't human.#Laios tries to approach her as a monster and is struck down by the humanity he sees in her.#She is something new that defies what they *both* understand about the world. And that makes her such a perfect antagonist.#The damsel was the dragon all along!#...She is really so cute though. Terrifying! But adorable. I am so excited to see the boom of fanart for her.

In my heart, Ford once went to an ice dimension and got Really Good at ice skating, and now he's absolutely insufferable about it.
#I think Ford has a bunch of random skills & everytime one comes up he has the most ridiculous yet completely true story to go along with it#in this case it involves picking a lock with his skates while scaled half way up a glacier. Finally caught up with Apothecary Diaries. I can't believe they gave Maomao a gun.
#the apothecary diaries#maomao#jinshi#I started watching back from the beginning and oh man...this series is a delight.#Maomao is one of my favourite protagonists for the fact she is a unique mystery lover who also loves to stay in her own lane.#She's here to solve the 'how' of the mystery but the who? Not her problem and not her job.#No crazy leaps in logic. Just a girl who loves her posions and puzzles.#I want to say so much more about this series but It really is best enjoyed as something to discover on your own! It's a mystery after all!#I want to draw some crossover art for this series so badly...Perhaps...perhaps...#This dehydration story comes from my own life - in which my flatmates have a running bit about calling sport drinks 'potions'.#This was very relevant when I was suffering from dehydration (low sodium intake + over drinking lead to a very bad time).#That's right. You can dehydrate via drinking too much water. Low sodium and low potassium can make you very ill as well.#Sometimes what you need is someone aggressively reminding you to add salt to your dishes and drink your goddamn potion.
